5-Day North India Honeymoon Itinerary in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Delhi
    30 minutes (12 km) from Indira Gandhi International Airport

    After arriving at the airport, head to your hotel to freshen up and start your honeymoon journey in Delhi. Visit the iconic Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which was built in the 17th century by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Later, explore the Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India, before heading to India Gate, a war memorial situated in the heart of Delhi.

  2. Day 2: Agra

    Visit the symbol of love, the Taj Mahal, built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Next, visit the Agra Fort, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which served as the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty. In the evening, take a walk in the Mehtab Bagh, a charbagh complex located on the banks of the Yamuna River, and enjoy the sunset view of the Taj Mahal.

  3. Day 3: Jaipur
    4 hours (240 km) from Agra

    Start your day with a visit to the Amer Fort, which is known for its artistic Hindu style elements. Next, visit the City Palace, a palace complex in the heart of Jaipur, which incorporates an impressive and vast array of courtyards, gardens, and buildings. Don't forget to visit the Hawa Mahal, also known as the "Palace of the Winds", which is a five-story palace built in the shape of a pyramid with 953 windows.

  4. Day 4: Udaipur
    6.5 hours (400 km) from Jaipur

    Explore the Venice of the East, Udaipur, also known as the City of Lakes. Visit the City Palace, which offers an excellent view of the lake and the city. Next, visit the Jagdish Temple, a large Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and the Saheliyon-ki-Bari, a beautiful garden built for the royal ladies for leisure and entertainment purposes.

  5. Day 5: Amritsar
    14 hours (820 km) from Udaipur

    Visit the Golden Temple, also known as Harmandir Sahib, which is the holiest shrine of the Sikh religion. Later, visit the Jallianwala Bagh, a public garden in Amritsar which houses a memorial of national importance to commemorate the massacre of peaceful celebrators on the occasion of the Punjabi New Year on April 13, 1919. In the evening, attend the Wagah Border Ceremony, a military practice between India and Pakistan that takes place every evening before sunset.
