  1. Day 1: Edakkal Caves
    1 hour 20 minutes (37.5 km) from Kalpetta

    Explore the ancient rock caves of Edakkal, which feature prehistoric petroglyphs and provide a glimpse into the region's past. The hike up to the cave involves a moderate level of trekking, but the view from the top is worth the effort. The cave is located amidst scenic nature, and is an excellent photo spot. Don't forget to carry water and snacks, as there are no shops nearby.

  2. Day 2: Banasura Sagar Dam
    50 minutes (21.6 km) from Edakkal Caves

    One of the largest earthen dams in Asia, the Banasura Sagar Dam offers a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains, the dam itself, and the lake. Enjoy a leisurely boat ride on the lake or indulge in some kayaking or paddle boating. There's a small park and a children's play area as well.

  3. Day 3: Thirunelli Temple
    1 hour 50 minutes (70.3 km) from Banasura Sagar Dam

    This 5000-year-old temple is situated amidst lush green forests and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple is located at the foot of Brahmagiri Hills and is surrounded by mountains, serene streams, and rivers. The temple architecture is unique, and the temple complex has several smaller shrines and a sacred water tank.
