  1. Day 1: Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary

    The Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary is a vast expanse of protected land with a variety of flora and fauna. It is home to over a hundred species of butterflies, several species of primates and elephants, and numerous species of snakes. The sanctuary offers visitors a chance to witness nature at its best and to take in the stunning surroundings on one of the many hiking trails. Visitors can also take a guided boat ride on the Neyyar reservoir, which is located within the sanctuary. The sanctuary has a visitor center, where you can learn more about the sanctuary and purchase snacks and souvenirs.

  2. Day 2: Agasthyakoodam
    1 hour and 20 minutes (42.8 miles) from Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary

    Agasthyakoodam is the second-highest peak in Kerala. It is located within the Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary and is considered a sacred site by the locals. The mountain is home to a variety of endemic flora and fauna. The trek to the top of the mountain takes about two days, and permits are required to enter the protected area. Visitors can also take a shorter trek to the base of the mountain, where they can take in the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and forests. It is important to note that the trek to the top of the mountain is rigorous and should only be attempted by experienced trekkers.
