Start your trip with a visit to the Gyeongbokgung Palace, the largest and most iconic royal palace in Korea. Built in 1395, it served as the main palace during the Joseon Dynasty. Make sure to catch the Changing of the Guard ceremony, which takes place at the main gate of the palace at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.
Head over to Namsan Tower, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Seoul. Take the cable car up to the top of the mountain for breathtaking views of the city. At the top, there are observation decks, restaurants, and an abundance of souvenir shops. The tower is particularly beautiful at sunset, so make sure to time your visit accordingly.
End your trip with a visit to Bukchon Hanok Village, a traditional Korean village that dates back to the Joseon Dynasty. Walk through the narrow alleys and take in the beautiful hanok houses, which are designed with a unique curved roof, called giwa, and decorative wooden beams, called chima. There are also many traditional tea houses and restaurants in the area, where you can enjoy a cup of tea or a delicious meal.
