3-Day Itinerary for Goa in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Basilica of Bom Jesus
20 minutes (6.9 km) from Goa International Airport

Built in the 16th-century, the Basilica of Bom Jesus is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most famous landmarks in Goa. It holds the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier, a revered Jesuit missionary. Visitors can marvel at the Baroque architecture of the church, the richly decorated altar, and the exquisite paintings on the ceilings. Be sure to check out the art gallery, which displays paintings and artefacts related to the life of St. Francis Xavier.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Falls

Dudhsagar Falls is a mesmerizing four-tiered waterfall that cascades down from a height of 310 meters. The name "Dudhsagar" means "sea of milk" in Konkani, which is fitting given the white spray and foam that the waterfall creates. Visitors can enjoy the stunning views of the waterfall, take a dip in the freshwater pools, and indulge in some local snacks and souvenirs from the nearby stalls.

  3. Day 3: Fort Aguada
1 hour (19.6 km) from Dudhsagar Falls

Fort Aguada is a 17th-century Portuguese fort that was built to protect Goa from foreign invasions. The highlight of the fort is the lighthouse, which offers panoramic views of the Arabian Sea. Visitors can explore the fort's bastions, walk along the ramparts, and visit the nearby Aguada jail. The fort is also home to a freshwater spring that provided water to the ships that stopped at the port.
