Exploring Iceland in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Reykjavik
    45 minutes (30 miles) from Keflavik International Airport

    Start your journey in Reykjavik, the capital city of Iceland. Visit the iconic Hallgrimskirkja Church, one of the tallest buildings in Iceland. Take a stroll down Laugavegur, the main shopping street known for its unique boutiques. Head to Harpa Concert Hall, a stunning glass building located by the waterfront. End the day by relaxing in one of the city's geothermal pools.

  2. Day 2: Thingvellir National Park and Geysir
    1 hour (49 miles) from Reykjavik

    Explore Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. Visit the Althing, an ancient Viking parliament site. Stop by the picturesque Oxararfoss waterfall. Next, head to the Geysir geothermal area, home to the famous Strokkur geyser that erupts every few minutes.   3. Day 3: Vatnajokull National Park

End the day by visiting Godafoss, a stunning waterfall known as the "waterfall of the gods."
