Visit the historic Edakkal Caves which is a popular archeological site in Wayanad. The caves have ancient rock carvings and inscriptions dating back to the Neolithic era. You need to trek up to the caves which is a moderate climb but it's worth it for the stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The caves are open from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm and entry fee is INR 30 per person.
Embark on a trek to Chembra Peak, the highest peak in Wayanad and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys. You need to hire a guide and get permission from the forest department to trek to the peak. The trek takes around 3-4 hours to reach the peak and come back. The entry fee is INR 750 for a group of 10 people and the trekking timings are from 7 am to 2 pm.
Spend your last day in Wayanad by visiting the beautiful Soochipara Waterfalls, also known as Sentinel Rock Waterfalls. The falls are surrounded by lush green forests and have a natural pool at the bottom where you can take a dip. The waterfalls are open from 8 am to 5 pm and entry fee is INR 50 per person.
