A 2-Day Itinerary for Chikmagalur

  1. Day 1: Mullayanagiri
    40 minutes (20 km) from Chikmagalur town

    Mullayanagiri is the highest peak in Karnataka with an altitude of 6,330 ft. Trekkers from all over the country visit this peak for its mesmerising views of the valley. The trek to the top is a moderate one and takes about 3-4 hours. Enroute, you can also visit the Seethalayanagiri Temple and the Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary.

  2. Day 1: Hebbe Falls
    2 hours (60 km) from Mullayanagiri

    Hebbe Falls is a beautiful waterfall located in the middle of a dense forest. The water here is believed to have medicinal properties and is a great place for a refreshing dip. The falls are accessible by both road and a short trek. The trek to the falls takes about 30 minutes and is an easy one.

  3. Day 2: Baba Budangiri
    1 hour 10 minutes (35 km) from Chikmagalur town

    Baba Budangiri is a sacred mountain range in Chikmagalur that is named after the Sufi saint Baba Budan. The range is known for its beautiful trekking trails and the famous Dattatreya Peetha, which is a shrine dedicated to Lord Dattatreya. The trek to the peak is a moderate one and takes about 2-3 hours.

  4. Day 2: Kemmangundi
    1 hour 20 minutes (45 km) from Baba Budangiri

    Kemmangundi is a popular hill station in Chikmagalur that is known for its stunning views and lush greenery. The hill station is home to many trekking trails, waterfalls and beautiful gardens. The most popular attraction here is the Z Point, which offers a panoramic view of the valley. You can also visit the Raj Bhavan and the Hebbe Falls while you are here.
