  1. Day 1: Edakkal Caves

    Start your Wayanad adventure by visiting the ancient Edakkal Caves. These caves are famous for their prehistoric rock carvings that date back to 6,000 BCE. To reach the caves, you will have to trek up a steep hill for about an hour, but the stunning views from the top are worth it. The caves are open from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM every day, so make sure to plan your visit accordingly.

  2. Day 2: Banasura Sagar Dam
    1 hour 10 minutes (29 miles) from Edakkal Caves

    Head to the Banasura Sagar Dam, the largest earthen dam in India and a popular tourist attraction. The dam offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and lush greenery. You can also take a speed boat ride on the dam's reservoir and enjoy the serene beauty of the place. The dam is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, except on Mondays.

  3. Day 3: Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary
    1 hour 30 minutes (38 miles) from Banasura Sagar Dam

    On your last day, visit the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary, home to a diverse range of flora and fauna. You can take a jeep safari through the sanctuary to spot animals like elephants, tigers, and leopards in their natural habitat. The sanctuary is open from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM and then from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM every day.
