Wake up early and trek to Vasuki Tal, a mesmerizing high altitude lake situated amidst the snow-capped mountains. Enjoy a peaceful picnic by the lake and take in the stunning views. After spending some time here, trek to Gandhi Sarovar, a glacier lake named after the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. The trek will be slightly challenging but the beautiful view of the surroundings will be worth it. Return to Kedarnath for the night.
On your way back from Kedarnath, make a stop at Sonprayag, a beautiful village situated at the confluence of two holy rivers, Mandakini and Basuki. Take a dip in the cool waters of the river and enjoy the serene surroundings. Next, visit the ancient Triyuginarayan Temple, believed to be the place where Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati got married. The temple is surrounded by lush greenery and offers a peaceful atmosphere. After visiting the temple, head back to Rishikesh.
