Athens, Greece Itinerary

  • Day 1: Start with a visit to the Acropolis and the Parthenon in the morning. Followed by a walk around the Plaka neighborhood for traditional Greek food for lunch. Spend the evening watching the sun set at Lycabettus Hill.
  • Day 2: Visit the National Archaeological Museum in the morning to learn about ancient Greek history. Have lunch at Stani, a famous bakery in central Athens. In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Olympian Zeus and then the Panathenaic Stadium for a stunning view of Athens.
  • Day 3: Take a day trip to the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion to experience the beautiful ruins overlooking the Aegean Sea. Stop for lunch at Ammos, a restaurant with fantastic seafood. End the day with a stroll through the Anafiotika neighborhood, with its whitewashed houses and picturesque views of Athens.

Transportation

Most of the destinations can be reached on foot or by metro. If you're traveling to Cape Sounion, renting a car or hiring a taxi is recommended due to the distance (approximately 70 km) from Athens.
