  1. Day 1: Venice Beach and Muscle Beach

    Start your day at Venice Beach, one of the most iconic beaches in California. Take a stroll along the boardwalk and watch street performers, skateboarders, and artists at work. Don't miss the famous Muscle Beach where bodybuilders show off their strength. Take a swim in the ocean or rent a bike and ride along the beach.

  2. Day 2: Malibu Lagoon State Beach and El Matador State Beach
    40 minutes (20 miles) from Venice Beach

    Malibu Lagoon State Beach is located on the west end of Malibu and is perfect for water sports enthusiasts. Rent a kayak or paddleboard and explore the lagoon. Next, head to El Matador State Beach, one of the most picturesque beaches in Southern California. Take a hike down the cliffside trail to the secluded beach surrounded by rock formations.

  3. Day 3: Santa Monica Mountains and Getty Villa
    25 minutes (10 miles) from El Matador State Beach

    Take a break from the beach and explore the Santa Monica Mountains. There are several hiking trails to choose from, including the popular Temescal Canyon Trail. After the hike, head to the Getty Villa, a museum dedicated to ancient Greek and Roman art. Walk through the gardens and explore the galleries filled with artifacts from the classical world.
