Since Vis Island is small, renting a car or scooter is the best option for getting around easily. Expect to spend around €30-€40 per day on a scooter rental and up to €70-€80 per day for a car rental. Ferries for trips to the Blue Cave cost around €20-€25 per person.
If you have extra time, visit the small island of Biševo and explore the Monk Seal Cave. If you have less time, skip the vineyard tour or beach day. Instead, take a private boat tour around the island, stopping at various swimming spots and restaurants along the way.
Vis Island does not have an airport, and visitors will need to fly into Split Airport (SPU) on the mainland. The airport is located 26km from the city center of Split and approximately 3 hours by ferry to Vis.
