Kolli Hills 2-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for June 2023

Kolli Hills is a beautiful mountain range nestled in the Namakkal district of Tamil Nadu. The range is a paradise for nature lovers with dense forests, waterfalls, and beautiful scenic views. The place is also home to several temples and viewpoints, making it a perfect destination for a family vacation. Here is a two-day itinerary filled with activities that you and your family can enjoy.

  1. Day 1: Explore the Waterfalls and Temples
6.8 miles (20 minutes) from Namakkal

Start your day by visiting the Agaya Gangai Waterfalls, which is located about 12 km from the foothills. The waterfall is a sight to behold, and the cool breeze will make for a great respite from the heat. After taking a dip in the falls, head over to the Masila Falls, which is located about 3 km from the Agaya Gangai Waterfalls. The Masila Falls is a smaller waterfall but is still quite scenic. After you have had your fill of the waterfalls, drive over to the Arappaleeswarar Temple. The temple is located about 6 km from the Masila Falls and is considered to be one of the oldest temples in the area. After seeking blessings, head over to the Seekuparai Viewpoint, which is located about 2 km from the temple. The viewpoint offers an excellent panoramic view of the entire range.

  2. Day 2: Trekking and Adventure Activities
12.1 miles (40 minutes) from Namakkal

Start your day by driving to the Kolli Hills Botanical Garden, which is located about 10 km from the foothills. The garden is home to several endangered species of plants and animals and is a great place to take a leisurely stroll. After spending some time at the garden, drive over to the Puliancholai Trekking Point, which is located about 5 km from the garden. The trek to Puliancholai is a moderately difficult trek, and the route is filled with scenic views of the surrounding mountains. After completing the trek, head over to the Agaya Gangai Amman Temple, which is located about 4 km from the trekking point. The temple is located atop a hill and offers an excellent view of the surrounding mountains.
