Embark on an early morning safari at Yala National Park, home to the highest concentration of leopards in the world. Keep your eyes peeled for other wildlife such as elephants, sloth bears, and crocodiles as you journey through the park's different zones. After your safari, visit the nearby Kataragama Temple, one of the most significant religious sites in Sri Lanka with a history dating back over 2,000 years.
Make your way to Sigiriya, an ancient rock fortress that rises high above the surrounding jungle. Afterward, head to Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site with a network of five caves filled with vividly painted murals and Buddha statues.
