Traveling by rail is the most convenient and efficient way to explore Tokyo. Purchase a Pasmo or Suica card for easy access to trains, subways, and buses. Taxis are available but expensive. However, they can be useful if traveling with family or luggage. Total transportation cost is approximately 40 USD.
If you have more time, add a visit to the Imperial Palace or stroll through the trendy district of Shibuya, home of the famous Shibuya Crossing. For a half-day, consider the Ghibli Museum, dedicated to the work of the famous anime studio. If you have less time, eliminate Odaiba Seaside Park and spend more time at other popular attractions.
Tokyo has two airports: Narita International Airport (NRT) located 62 km outside of the city, and Haneda Airport (HND) located within the city limits, 19 km from the Tokyo Station. Haneda Airport is more accessible and hassle-free, with numerous transit options, including both rail and bus connections.
