Dudhsagar Falls is a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River in the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park. The falls are at their most impressive in November when the monsoon season is over and the water levels are high. You can take a dip in the natural pool at the base of the falls and enjoy the lush greenery of the surrounding forest. Note that the falls are closed on Mondays.
The Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary is a protected area on the western tip of Chorão Island, home to a variety of local and migratory birds. November is the perfect time to visit as the migratory season is at its peak and the sanctuary is bustling with a variety of bird species. Take a leisurely boat ride through the mangrove forest and keep your eyes peeled for birds such as the western reef heron, the striated heron, and the peregrine falcon.
Mollem National Park is a protected area in the Western Ghats, known for its diverse wildlife and rich flora. The park is home to several endangered species such as the tiger, leopard, and black panther. Take a guided nature walk through the park and explore the lush greenery, visit the Tambdi Surla temple, and enjoy a picnic lunch by the waterfalls. Note that the park is closed on Wednesdays.
