  1. Day 1: Vaishno Devi

    In the morning, visit the holy shrine of Vaishno Devi, nestled amidst the picturesque Trikuta Mountains. The shrine, dedicated to the Hindu goddess Mata Vaishno Devi, is one of the most visited pilgrimage sites in India. The trek to the shrine is approximately 12 km long and takes around 6-8 hours. Alternatively, you can hire a pony or a palanquin to reach the shrine. The entire route is well-maintained and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. After paying your respects at the shrine, head back to Katra and spend the afternoon exploring the local markets and trying some local cuisine.

  2. Day 2: Dev Pindi
    1 hour 10 minutes (35 km) from Katra

    On the second day, visit Dev Pindi, a beautiful waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. The waterfall is located in the Udhampur district and is known for its pristine natural beauty. The trek to the waterfall is approximately 2 km long and takes around 30-45 minutes. The route is relatively easy and offers stunning views of the surrounding forests. Once you reach the waterfall, take a dip in the cool waters and enjoy the peaceful ambiance. You can also have a picnic by the waterfall and indulge in some birdwatching. After spending a few hours at Dev Pindi, head back to Katra.
