Narkanda is a quaint town nestled in the Himalayas at an altitude of 2,708 meters above sea level. It is surrounded by dense forests of deodar, fir, and spruce trees and offers panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains. The town is famous for its apple orchards and skiing slopes. You can also visit the Hatu Peak which is the highest point in the town and offers a 360-degree view of the surrounding landscapes.
If you have more time, you can explore Shimla city which has many colonial-era buildings, temples, and museums. You can also take a ride on the UNESCO-listed Kalka-Shimla toy train which offers scenic views of the Himalayan landscapes.
