5-Day Adventure Itinerary in Manali - June 2023

  1. Day 1: Solang Valley
    25 minutes (8.4 km) from Manali

    Solang Valley is a haven for adventure enthusiasts. During the summer months, visitors can enjoy various thrilling activities such as paragliding, zorbing, and ATV rides. The valley offers picturesque views of the snow-capped mountains, and the lush greenery around is a sight to behold. Make sure you carry comfortable footwear, sunscreen, and a camera to capture the stunning views. Solang Valley is open from 9 AM to 6 PM daily.

  2. Day 2: Beas River Rafting
    30 minutes (14 km) from Solang Valley

    Experience the thrill of white water rafting in the Beas River that flows through Kullu Valley. The rafting route offers various grades of rapids suitable for both beginners and experts. You can also enjoy other water activities such as kayaking and river crossing. The best time for rafting is during the summer months from March to June. The activity is open from 9 AM to 5 PM daily.

  3. Day 3: Hampta Pass Trek
    1 hour 45 minutes (39 km) from Beas River Rafting

    Embark on a 4-day trek to Hampta Pass that offers stunning views of the Himalayan ranges. The trek starts from Jobra and goes through lush green meadows, forests, and streams. The highlight of the trek is crossing the Hampta Pass at an altitude of 4,270 meters and camping at the serene Chandratal Lake. June is the best time to undertake this trek as the weather is pleasant, and the snow has melted. Make sure to carry adequate warm clothing, trekking boots, and a sleeping bag.

  4. Day 4: Vashisht Hot Water Springs
    1 hour 30 minutes (36 km) from Hampta Pass Trek

    After the strenuous trek, relax and rejuvenate your body at the natural hot water springs in Vashisht. The springs have medicinal properties and are believed to cure various ailments. Apart from the hot springs, the village also offers beautiful temples and architecture worth exploring. The springs are open from 7 AM to 1 PM and from 2 PM to 10 PM.

  5. Day 5: Nagar Castle and Art Gallery
    40 minutes (20.3 km) from Vashisht Hot Water Springs

    Visit the Nagar Castle that was built in the 16th century by Raja Sidh Singh. The castle has a blend of western and Himalayan architecture and offers panoramic views of the valley. The castle also houses a museum that has artifacts, weapons, and photographs of the royal family. The art gallery adjacent to the castle showcases contemporary and traditional art forms of the region. The castle and art gallery are open from 9 AM to 6 PM.

Recommendations

Other places worth visiting include the Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple, and the Manali Wildlife Sanctuary. You can also try your hand at skiing in the winter months between December and February.
