Three Days Family-Friendly Itinerary for Thirthan Valley in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Visit Great Himalayan National Park
    20 minutes (8.6 km) from your hotel

    In the morning, visit the Great Himalayan National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to several rare and endangered species of flora and fauna. Enjoy a guided nature walk and spot some exotic birds like Himalayan Monal, Cheer Pheasant and Snow Partridge. In the afternoon, take a trek to Shilt Hut and enjoy the serene environment. In the evening, visit Tirthan River and enjoy fishing or simply relax by the riverside.

  2. Day 2: Visit Serloskar Lake and Jalori Pass
    1 hour 30 minutes (36.4 km) from your hotel

    In the morning, head to Serloskar Lake and enjoy a picnic with your family. The lake is surrounded by lush green forests and offers a panoramic view of the mountains. In the afternoon, drive to Jalori Pass and trek to the Serolsar Lake. The trek is moderate and takes around 1.5 hours. In the evening, explore the local market and try some local delicacies like Siddu and Trout fish.

  3. Day 3: Visit Gushaini and Chhoie Waterfall
    30 minutes (12.5 km) from your hotel

    In the morning, head to Gushaini and visit the beautiful waterfall- Chhoie. The waterfall is surrounded by dense forests and offers a picturesque view. In the afternoon, visit the Banjar Valley and take a dip in the natural hot water springs. In the evening, enjoy a bonfire with your family and listen to some local folklore.
