6-Day Family-Friendly Itinerary for Kedarnath and Haridwar in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Arrival in Kedarnath

In the afternoon, visit Har Ki Pauri, a revered ghat on the river where evening aarti (a devotional ritual) takes place. In the evening, explore the vibrant local markets and enjoy street food.

  3. Day 3: Haridwar
    Within Haridwar

    In the morning, visit Mansa Devi Temple, a popular temple dedicated to Goddess Mansa. Take a cable car ride to the temple and enjoy panoramic views of the city.   4. Day 4: Haridwar to Rishikesh

    In the morning, visit Neel Dhara Pakshi Vihar, a bird sanctuary on the banks of the River Ganges. Then, travel to Rishikesh, a spiritual town and a hub for adventure activities. In the afternoon, visit Triveni Ghat, where the River Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati meet. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan.

  5. Day 5: Rishikesh
    Within Rishikesh

    In the morning, visit Beatles Ashram, an abandoned ashram that gained fame when the Beatles stayed there in 1968. Explore the graffiti-covered walls and soak in the tranquil surroundings. In the afternoon, try rafting in the River Ganges or go bungee jumping. In the evening, explore the local markets and try out cafes that offer scrumptious food and stunning views.

  6. Day 6: Departure from Dehradun
    From Rishikesh
    1.5 hours (25 km) by car

    In the morning, visit Lakshman Jhula, a suspension bridge over the River Ganges, and Ram Jhula, another suspension bridge. Both bridges offer gorgeous views of the river and the surrounding mountains. In the afternoon, travel to Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun, for your flight back home.
