Begin the day with a challenging yet rewarding hike up Chembra Peak, the highest peak in Wayanad. The trek takes around 3-4 hours and will take you through lush green forests, tea plantations and a heart-shaped lake. Once you reach the top, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Western Ghats.
After the hike, stop for lunch at Bamboo Forest Restaurant, known for its delicious Keralan cuisine. The restaurant is located amidst lush bamboo groves and offers a serene ambiance.
After lunch, head to Pookode Lake to enjoy some boating and serene views. The freshwater lake is surrounded by forests and is a popular spot for picnics and nature walks.
End the day with a visit to Soochipara Falls, a three-tiered waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. Take a dip in the pool below the falls or go for a short hike to enjoy the views from different angles.
If you have extra time, consider visiting Edakkal Caves or Banasura Sagar Dam. For a unique experience, try camping at the base of Chembra Peak. Don't forget to carry sunscreen, hats and plenty of water!
