Start your day early and head straight to Rishikesh, one of the best places to go river rafting in India. You can join a rafting tour that will take you along the Ganges River, where you can experience the thrill of tackling rapids of various grades, and also take in the beautiful scenery around you. After lunch, you can explore the many ashrams and temples in Rishikesh, such as the Triveni Ghat and Parmarth Niketan, which offer a spiritual experience like no other. In the evening, head to the Lakshman Jhula, a suspension bridge that spans the Ganges River, and take in the stunning sunset views.
On Day 2, get ready for some high-adrenaline activities. Head to Jumpin Heights, a popular bungee jumping spot in the city, and experience the thrill of free falling from a height of 83 metres. Once you're done, head to the Neer Garh Waterfall, which is a trek of about 3 km each way. The trek is moderately difficult, but the views of the waterfall, as well as the surrounding hills, make it worth it. Spend some time relaxing by the waterfall, before heading back to Rishikesh for lunch. Afterwards, you can explore the local markets and try out some local snacks, such as the famous aloo tikki chaat. End your day with a peaceful yoga and meditation session by the river.
You can also consider trying out other adventure sports such as zip-lining or kayaking while in Rishikesh. If you have some extra time, you can also plan a day trip to Haridwar, another holy city just an hour away from Rishikesh. Haridwar is famous for its evening Ganga Aarti, which is a must-see.
