7-Day Nature Itinerary to Kedarnath, Badrinath, Rishikesh, and Kashi in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Kedarnath
    8 hours (144 miles) from Dehradun International Airport

    Start your day early with a scenic drive to Kedarnath. Upon arrival, take a trek or ride a pony to the Kedarnath Temple. Enjoy the serene atmosphere and breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Spend the afternoon exploring the nearby areas and trekking to Vasuki Tal. In the evening, attend the evening aarti at the Kedarnath Temple.

  2. Day 2: Badrinath
    8 hours (118 miles) from Kedarnath

    Leave Kedarnath early in the morning and drive to Badrinath. Visit Badrinath Temple, one of the four Chota Char Dham pilgrimage sites, which is located on the banks of the Alaknanda River. Take a dip in the Tapt Kund Hot Springs, which is believed to have medicinal properties. Spend the afternoon meditating in the peaceful atmosphere of the temple.   3. Day 3: Rishikesh
    9 hours (170 miles) from Badrinath

    Drive to Rishikesh, the Yoga Capital of the World. Attend the morning Ganga Aarti at the Triveni Ghat and take a dip in the holy Ganges River. Visit the Beatles Ashram, where the Beatles stayed in 1968 and practiced transcendental meditation. Spend the afternoon white water rafting in the Ganges River and exploring the city's shopping and dining scenes. In the evening, attend a yoga or meditation class.

  4. Day 4: Rishikesh
    30 minutes (12 miles) from Haridwar Junction Railway Station

    Visit the Neer Garh Waterfall and enjoy a picnic lunch. Take a dip in the waterfall's refreshing waters. In the afternoon, visit the Rajaji National Park and go on a wildlife safari. In the evening, attend the Ganga aarti at Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar.

  5. Day 5: Kashi

    Drive to Kashi, also known as Varanasi. Take a boat ride in the Ganges River and witness the evening aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat. Visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Explore the city's narrow alleys and colorful markets. In the evening, attend a classical music or dance performance.

  6. Day 6: Kashi
    30 minutes (4 miles) from Kashi Railway Station

    Visit the Sarnath Buddhist Temple Complex, where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. Learn about the life and teachings of Lord Buddha at the Sarnath Museum. Spend the afternoon exploring the city's ghats and temples. In the evening, attend the aarti at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

  7. Day 7: Rishikesh
