4-Day Itinerary for Dehradun, Rishikesh, Mussoorie, and Haridwar

  1. Day 1: Dehradun
    20 minutes (9.3 km) from Jolly Grant Airport

    In the morning, visit the Sahastradhara, a beautiful waterfall with therapeutic sulphur springs and caves to explore. In the afternoon, check out the Mindrolling Monastery, one of the largest Buddhist centers in India, and admire the intricate architecture and beautiful gardens. For the evening, relax and take a stroll at the Rajaji National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary, home to diverse flora and fauna, and spot some exotic wildlife.

  2. Day 2: Rishikesh
    1 hour 30 minutes (45 km) from Dehradun

    Begin the day by taking a dip in the holy Ganges river at the Triveni Ghat. In the afternoon, explore the Beatles Ashram, an abandoned ashram which was once visited by the Beatles and is now a graffiti-covered hotspot. End the day by attending the Ganga Aarti, a beautiful spiritual ceremony on the banks of the Ganges river.

  3. Day 3: Mussoorie
    1 hour 30 minutes (32 km) from Rishikesh

    Start the day by taking the cable car ride to Gun Hill, a popular viewpoint with stunning panoramic views of the Himalayan range. In the afternoon, visit the Kempty Falls, a scenic waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll on the Mall Road, the main shopping and entertainment hub of Mussoorie.

  4. Day 4: Haridwar
    1 hour 15 minutes (52 km) from Mussoorie

    Begin the day by visiting the Har Ki Pauri, a holy ghat on the Ganges river which is steeped in Hindu mythology. In the afternoon, explore the Chandi Devi Temple, a beautiful hilltop temple dedicated to goddess Chandi. End the day by taking a dip in the Ganges river at the popular bathing ghat of Haridwar, and witness the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti ceremony before departing back to Dehradun.
