Kerala 3-Day Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Fort Kochi
    40 minutes (10.9 miles) from Cochin International Airport

    Start your day with a visit to the St. Francis Church, the oldest European church in India, where you can see the remains of Vasco da Gama. Then, head to the Chinese Fishing Nets, a popular tourist spot, and watch the fishermen in action. In the afternoon, take a walk around Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace, and admire the stunning murals. Before the sun sets, make sure to visit the Jewish Synagogue, the oldest active synagogue in the Commonwealth of Nations. In the evening, enjoy a Kathakali dance performance, a traditional form of dance-drama that originated in Kerala.

  2. Day 2: Munnar
    4 hours 20 minutes (87.5 miles) from Fort Kochi

    Start your day early and head to Munnar, a hill station known for its picturesque tea plantations. Visit the Tea Museum to learn about the history of tea production in the region and enjoy a cup of fresh tea. Then, take a scenic drive to the Mattupetty Dam, where you can enjoy a boat ride and take in the stunning views of the surrounding hills. In the afternoon, visit the Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. End your day with a stroll through the beautiful flower gardens at the Blossom Hydel Park.

  3. Day 3: Alleppey

    Spend your morning on a houseboat cruise through the backwaters of Alleppey, also known as the Venice of the East. In the afternoon, visit the Ambalapuzha Sree Krishna Temple, known for its delicious offering of sweet milk porridge. Then, head to Marari Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Kerala, and watch the sunset. End your day with a seafood dinner at one of the many local restaurants.
