Relaxing 3-Day Itinerary for Badrinath in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Badrinath Temple
5 minutes (0.2 miles) from Hotel Narayan Palace

Start your day with a peaceful visit to Badrinath Temple, one of the country's holiest shrines. Early morning is the best time to visit to avoid crowds and take in the serene surroundings. Afterward, enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the nearby Sarovar Portico hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring the surrounding natural beauty of Badrinath. Visit the Mana Village, the last Indian village situated near the Indo-Tibetan border or take a nature walk around the Vasudhara Falls. In the evening, head back to Badrinath Temple to attend the evening aarti and witness the beautiful rituals.

  2. Day 2: Tapt Kund and Brahma Kapal
3 minutes (0.1 miles) from Hotel Narayan Palace

Begin your day with a dip in Tapt Kund, a natural hot spring believed to have medicinal properties. Later visit the Brahma Kapal, a holy place located on the banks of the Alaknanda River. The place is known for performing funeral rites for the departed souls and is also an excellent spot to witness the beauty of the river and the mountains. Head to the nearby Geeta Vatika to relax and meditate in a peaceful and spiritual environment. In the evening, explore the local markets and indulge in some shopping for souvenirs and local handicrafts.

  3. Day 3: Neelkanth Peak
35 minutes (11.1 miles) from Hotel Narayan Palace

On your last day in Badrinath, start early and drive to Neelkanth Peak, a majestic mountain peak standing tall at an altitude of 6,597 meters, surrounded by beautiful forests and waterfalls. The trek to the peak is a bit rigorous but worth the effort as the view from the top is breathtaking, and it's an excellent spot for nature photography. After the trek, relax at the nearby restaurant and enjoy a warm cup of chai and some local snacks. On the way back to Badrinath town, stop by the Charanpaduka, a beautiful rock that bears the footprints of Lord Vishnu. End your day with a delightful dinner at the nearby Kamakshi restaurant.
