2-Day Honeymoon Itinerary for Trivandrum in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Padmanabhaswamy Temple
15 minutes (3.1 miles) from Trivandrum Central Station

Start your honeymoon by visiting the famous Padmanabhaswamy Temple, known for its Dravidian style of architecture. The temple, built-in 16th-century, is devoted to Lord Vishnu and is one of the 108 divya desams. Avoid wearing shorts and skirts and carry an ID proof. The temple opens at 3:30 AM for the 'Nirmalya Darshanam' and will be closed between 1 PM - 4 PM. Spend your afternoon at the beautiful Kovalam Beach, only 30 minutes (8.6 miles) away, and take a dip in the turquoise blue water. End your day with a romantic dinner at the rooftop restaurant of Villa Maya, serving Indian and Mediterranean cuisine.

  2. Day 2: Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary
45 minutes (16.5 miles) from Kovalam Beach

Begin your day with a visit to Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the southern part of the Western Ghats. The sanctuary is home to over 176 bird species, including the endangered Nilgiri Wood-pigeon and Nilgiri Tahr, Indian bison, and Asian elephants. Embark on a jungle safari or take a boat ride on the Neyyar dam, located inside the sanctuary. After lunch, visit the Kanakakunnu Palace, a beautiful heritage building that hosts art and cultural events. End your day with a peaceful sunset at Shanghumukham Beach, located 20 minutes (6.5 miles) away from the palace.
