Two-Day Nature Itinerary for Coutrallam in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Main Falls
    10 minutes (2.4 miles) from Coutrallam Bus Station

    In the morning, visit the Main Falls, a beautiful waterfall that is about 60 meters high. Take a dip in the refreshing natural pool formed below the waterfall. In the afternoon, take a walk along the river and enjoy the serene surroundings. In the evening, visit the Shiva Temple nearby and witness the evening arati.

  2. Day 2: Five Falls
    20 minutes (4.6 miles) from Main Falls

    In the morning, visit the Five Falls, a series of five cascading waterfalls surrounded by dense forests. You can take a bath in each of the five falls, which is believed to have medicinal properties. In the afternoon, go for a trek in the surrounding hills and enjoy the stunning views. In the evening, visit the Coutrallam Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva.

If you have extra time, visit the Old Falls, which is another beautiful waterfall in the area. You can also visit the Chitra Sabhai, a famous temple dedicated to Lord Nataraja, located in nearby Chidambaram.
