3-day Adventure Itinerary in Chitkul, June 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore Chitkul
    Starting point: Shimla (8 hours, 236 km)

    Morning: Visit Kamru Fort, a beautiful historical fort located in the Sangla Valley. Enjoy the scenic views of the surrounding mountains from the top of the fort. Have lunch at a local restaurant in Sangla.
    Afternoon: Head to Chitkul, known for its picturesque landscapes and the last village of India on the Indo-Tibet border. Go on a scenic hike around the village and see the beautiful Baspa River.
    Evening: Relax and enjoy the sunset at Chitkul village while having a hot cup of tea.

  2. Day 2: Trek to Nagasthi
    Starting point: Chitkul (2 hours, 7 km)

    Morning: Start trekking towards Nagasthi, a scenic village located on the Indo-Tibet border. The trek is moderately difficult, with a few steep ascents and descents. Enjoy the beauty of the surrounding landscapes, flora and fauna.
    Afternoon: Have a packed lunch at Nagasthi village and explore the customs and traditions of the local people.
    Evening: Trek back to Chitkul and relax at the village.

  3. Day 3: Adventure Sports
    Starting point: Chitkul

    Morning: Go on a river rafting experience on the Baspa River and enjoy the thrill of the rapids.
    Afternoon: Try your hand at rock climbing and rappelling at the nearby cliffs.
