Exploring Waterfalls near Pune in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Thoseghar Waterfall
    1 hour 30 minutes (45 miles) from Pune

    Start your day early and head towards Thoseghar Waterfall. Enjoy a scenic drive through lush green hills and stop for some breakfast on the way. Once you reach the waterfall, take a leisurely walk to the viewpoint and enjoy the stunning view of the waterfall. You can also trek down to the base of the waterfall to get a closer look. Spend some time taking pictures and enjoying the scenery. In the afternoon, head to a local restaurant for some traditional Maharashtrian lunch. In the evening, explore the nearby towns of Satara or Wai before heading back to Pune.

  2. Day 2: Thoseghar Waterfall and Kaas Plateau
    1 hour 15 minutes (40 miles) from Thoseghar Waterfall

    Start your day with a visit to Thoseghar Waterfall again to witness the morning view. After that, head towards the breathtaking Kaas Plateau, also known as the Valley of Flowers. Take a guided tour of the plateau and witness the colorful flowers in full bloom. You can also visit the Kaas Lake and enjoy a peaceful boat ride. Have lunch at a nearby restaurant and then visit the Thoseghar Dam in the afternoon. You can go for a short trek to the dam and enjoy the view. Return to Pune in the evening.

  3. Day 3: Panshet Waterfall and Khadakwasla Dam
    1 hour (20 miles) from Pune

    On your last day, visit the stunning Panshet Waterfall. Take a dip in the cool waters of the waterfall and enjoy the serene surroundings. After spending some time at the waterfall, head to the nearby Khadakwasla Dam. Enjoy the view of the dam and have some street food for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Sinhagad Fort and enjoy a trek to the top. Witness the panoramic view of Pune from the fort. Return to Pune in the evening.
