4-Day Itinerary in Sri Lanka

  1. Day 1: Sigiriya
    3 hours (110 km) from Bandaranaike International Airport

    In the morning, climb the Sigiriya rock fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most iconic landmarks in Sri Lanka. Enjoy the breathtaking views from the top and explore the ancient ruins. For lunch, head to the nearby Pidurangala Rock for a picnic with a view. In the afternoon, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, a complex of five caves with over 150 Buddha statues and murals. End the day with a traditional Sri Lankan dinner at the nearby Green Garden Restaurant.

  2. Day 2: Kandy
    2 hours (90 km) from Sigiriya

    In the morning, visit the Temple of the Tooth, a sacred Buddhist temple that houses the relic of the tooth of Buddha.
