Exploring South India in August 2024

  1. Day 1: Bangalore
    30 minutes (7.9 km) from Kempegowda International Airport

    Morning: Visit the historic Bangalore Palace, which is inspired by the Windsor Castle. Evening: Visit the Raja's Seat, which is a garden with a fantastic view of the surrounding hills.

  4. Day 4: Wayanad
    3.5 hours (118 km) from Coorg

    Morning: Explore the Edakkal Caves, which are famous for their prehistoric rock carvings and paintings. The caves are located on top of a hill, and visitors need to trek for about an hour to reach the caves. Afternoon: Visit the Banasura Sagar Dam, which is the largest earth dam in India. Enjoy a boat ride in the dam's reservoir and witness the dam's majestic beauty. Evening: Take a stroll in the Pookode Lake, which is a natural freshwater lake surrounded by green hills.
