Visit the majestic Jaigad Fort situated on a cliff at the entrance of the Sangameshwar river. Enjoy the panoramic view of the sea and surrounding mountains. The fort walls are thick and have bastions, and there is a lighthouse at the end of the fortification.
Visit the palace of King Thibaw, the last king of Myanmar, who was exiled to Ratnagiri with his wife and family by the British. The palace was built in the Burmese architectural style. This palace is a part of the Ganpatipule Archaeological Museum and has a few interesting exhibits on display.
Enjoy the serenity of Ganpatipule beach, which is about 12 kilometers long with clean white sand. Take a refreshing dip in the sea or just relax under the sun. There are a few water sports available at the beach.
Visit the ancient Thebaw Palace, which was built in 1910. The palace has a beautiful garden and a museum inside with a few artifacts from the Maratha era. The palace is a perfect example of Maratha architectural style.
Visit the Jaigad Lighthouse, which stands tall at the end of the Jaigad Fort. The lighthouse was built in 1932 and is still operational. Enjoy the stunning view of the sea and the surrounding mountains from the top of the lighthouse.
If you have extra time, you can visit the Ganpatipule Temple, which is located on the beach and is a famous pilgrimage site. You can also go for a trek in the nearby reserve forest.
