4-Day Adventure Itinerary in Tirupathi in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Chandragiri Fort

    In the morning, explore the Chandragiri Fort which was built in the 11th century. The fort has a rich history and was once occupied by various dynasties. In the afternoon, visit the Raja Mahal Palace which is located within the fort complex.   2. Day 2: Talakona Waterfall
    2 hours 20 minutes (65.5 km) from Chandragiri Fort

    In the morning, make your way to Talakona Waterfall which is the highest waterfall in Andhra Pradesh. The waterfall is located within the Sri Venkateswara National Park and is surrounded by lush green forests. You can take a dip in the natural pool at the base of the waterfall.   3. Day 3: Sri Venkateswara Temple

In the evening, attend the Ekanta Seva which is a ritual where the deity is put to rest for the night.

  4. Day 4: Sri Kalahasti Temple
    1 hour 20 minutes (40.5 km) from Sri Venkateswara Temple

    In the morning, visit the Sri Kalahasti Temple which is one of the oldest Shiva temples in South India. The temple is located on the banks of the Swarnamukhi River and is famous for its Vayu Linga. After darshan at the temple, visit the Sri Subramanya Swamy Temple which is adjacent to the main temple. In the afternoon, explore the nearby Srikalahasti Wildlife Sanctuary which has a variety of flora and fauna. In the evening, attend the Rahu Ketu Puja which is a popular ritual performed at the temple.
