4-Day Adventure Itinerary for Tirupathi in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Chandragiri Fort
    30 minutes (14.1 km) from Tirupathi

    In the morning, explore the Chandragiri Fort which was built in the 11th century. You can take a guided tour to learn about the history of this fort and admire the beautiful architecture. In the afternoon, head to the nearby Bhakta Kannappa Temple, one of the oldest temples in Tirupathi, and marvel at the intricate carvings on its exterior. In the evening, go on a nature walk at the Talakona Waterfalls, located about 2 hours away, and enjoy the lush greenery and refreshing mist.

  2. Day 2: Sri Venkateswara National Park
    1 hour 15 minutes (57.4 km) from Tirupathi

    Start your day early and head to the Sri Venkateswara National Park. Go on a trek to the Tirumala hills and enjoy the scenic views of the forest and its wildlife. In the afternoon, head to the Deer Park and watch the deer in their natural habitat.   4. Day 4: Akasaganga Teertham

    In the morning, head to the Akasaganga Teertham, a beautiful waterfall that is said to have originated from the heavens. Take a dip in the cool waters and admire the beautiful surroundings. In the afternoon, visit the Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy Temple, located about 25 minutes away, and seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara. In the evening, head to the Chandragiri Palace, located about 45 minutes away, and learn about the history of this palace and admire its grand architecture.

You can also consider visiting the Sri Venkateswara Temple, one of the most visited pilgrimage sites in India. If you have more time, you can plan a side trip to the Horsley Hills, a beautiful hill station located about 3 hours away from Tirupathi. To maximize your fun, make sure to carry comfortable shoes, a camera, and plenty of water.
