A Week-Long Trip from Bangalore to Kedarnath

Recommendations

If you have a day or two to spare, you can visit the nearby town of Guptkashi, which has several temples and is believed to be the place where Lord Shiva proposed to Goddess Parvati. Another interesting side trip is to the Kalimath Temple, located amidst dense forests and is believed to be one of the shaktipeeths. Make sure to carry enough cash and warm clothing as it can get quite chilly in June.
