In the morning, visit the Tsuglagkhang Complex, the largest Tibetan temple outside of Tibet. Learn about the history and culture of Tibet while walking around the complex. Afternoon, head over to the Tibet Museum, which showcases the history of Tibet and the struggle of Tibetans against Chinese occupation. In the evening, head to Bhagsu Waterfall, where you can take a dip in the refreshing water.
Start your day early and drive to the Galu Temple to start the Triund trek. The moderately difficult trek takes about 4-5 hours to complete and takes you through lush forests and breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Pack lunch and snacks to enjoy while taking in the views. After completing the trek, head back to McLeod Ganj for a relaxing evening at one of the many cafes.
In the morning, visit the Norbulingka Institute, a centre for the preservation of Tibetan culture and arts. Take a guided tour of the centre and participate in a workshop to learn about traditional Tibetan arts. In the afternoon, head to the Dalai Lama Temple Complex, where you can take a tour of the temple and attend a prayer session. In the evening, take a stroll around the Dal Lake and take in the serene atmosphere.
If you have extra time, visit the Kangra Fort, one of the oldest forts in India. You can also take a day trip to Palampur, a scenic town known for its tea gardens and beautiful landscape. Try out some of the local street food like momos and thukpa, and don't forget to shop for some Tibetan handicrafts.
