The temple houses a three-story high statue of Sakyamuni Buddha. Afternoon time can be spent at the Norbulingka Institute, situated in a beautiful garden with traditional Tibetan architecture. Learn about thangka painting and wood-carving classes. In the evening, head to McLeod Ganj market for local shopping and try some street food.

  2. Day 2: Bhagsu Waterfall and Triund Trek
    20 minutes (4.5 km) from McLeod Ganj Bus Stand

    In the morning, head towards Bhagsu Waterfall, a beautiful natural scenic spot. Get a glimpse of the local way of life and enjoy breakfast in any of the local eateries nearby. Afternoon time can be spent trekking to Triund, a scenic trek with breathtaking views of the Himalayan range. The trek will take around 4-5 hours, so be sure to pack snacks and drinks. In the evening, return to McLeod Ganj for dinner and rest.
