3-Day Itinerary for Vishakapatnam, Arakku in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Kailasagiri
    25 minutes (11.3 km) from Vishakapatnam Railway Station

    In the morning, visit the Kailasagiri and enjoy the scenic view of the city and the sea from the hilltop. Take a cable car ride and explore the Shiva Parvati statue and the floral clock. In the afternoon, head to Rishikonda Beach for some sun, sand, and sea. Take a dip in the ocean or try some water sports like jet skiing and surfing. In the evening, visit the Submarine Museum to learn about India's naval history and explore the INS Kurusura submarine.

  2. Day 2: Borra Caves
    2 hours 10 minutes (91 km) from Kailasagiri

    In the morning, drive to the Borra Caves, one of the largest caves in India. Explore the natural rock formations, stalactites, and stalagmites. Take a guided tour to learn about the history and mythology associated with the caves. In the afternoon, head to the Katiki Waterfall and enjoy a refreshing dip in the cool waters. Take a short hike to reach the waterfall and enjoy the scenic surroundings. In the evening, return to Vishakapatnam and visit the Simhachalam Temple, a famous Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Narasimha.

  3. Day 3: Araku Valley

    Take a day trip to the scenic Araku Valley and enjoy the beautiful landscape of lush green hills, coffee plantations, and waterfalls. Visit the Tribal Museum to learn about the culture and traditions of the local tribes. Enjoy a cup of freshly brewed coffee at the Coffee Museum and explore the organic farms. In the afternoon, take a ride in the Araku Valley railway, a scenic train journey that takes you through tunnels and bridges and offers breathtaking views of the valley. In the evening, return to Vishakapatnam.
