6-Day Spiti Adventure Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Spiti Valley
    Starting Point: Manali (Approx. 200 km, 8 hours)

    In the morning, you will embark on a scenic drive through the majestic Rohtang Pass and Kunzum Pass to reach Spiti Valley. Afternoon will be spent acclimatizing to the high altitude. The evening can be spent exploring the nearby villages.

  2. Day 2: Kibber and Chicham Bridge
    Distance from Spiti Valley: 17 km (40 mins)

    Morning can be spent trekking to Kibber, the highest motorable village in the world, and exploring its ancient monastery. In the afternoon, you can visit the Chicham Bridge, the highest suspension bridge in Asia, and indulge in some adventure activities like zip-lining.

  3. Day 3: Pin Valley National Park
    Distance from Kibber: 18 km (1 hour)

    Early morning, embark on a jeep safari in the Pin Valley National Park, home to rare species like the snow leopard and ibex. In the afternoon, you can visit the Tabo Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest monasteries in the world.

  4. Day 4: Dhankar Monastery and Lake
    Distance from Pin Valley National Park: 25 km (1.5 hours)

    Morning can be spent hiking to the Dhankar Monastery, perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the confluence of Spiti and Pin rivers. Afternoon can be spent trekking to the beautiful Dhankar Lake and enjoying the stunning views of the valley.

  5. Day 5: Langza, Hikkim, and Komic
    Distance from Dhankar: 20 km (1 hour)

    Morning can be spent visiting the picturesque village of Langza and the ancient Hikkim monastery, which houses the world's highest post office. In the afternoon, you can visit Komic, the highest village in Asia, and enjoy some yak riding.

  6. Day 6: Chandratal Lake
    Distance from Komic: 110 km (5 hours)

    Early morning, embark on a scenic drive to the stunning Chandratal Lake, located at an altitude of 4,300 meters above sea level. Spend the day trekking around the lake, enjoying the beautiful views, and camping under the stars.
