Allahabad Relaxation Itinerary

  1. Day 1: Khusro Bagh
    10 minutes (2.5 km) from Allahabad Junction Railway Station

    Khusro Bagh is a beautiful garden complex that is home to the tombs of the Mughal prince Khusro, his mother Shah Begum, and his sister. The garden is a popular spot for locals and visitors to relax in the tranquil surroundings. In the morning, take a stroll through the garden and enjoy the greenery and the beautiful Mughal architecture. In the afternoon, visit the tomb of Khusro and learn about the history of the Mughal dynasty. In the evening, sit by the pond and watch the sunset over the tombs.

  2. Day 2: Triveni Sangam
    30 minutes (10 km) from Khusro Bagh

    Triveni Sangam is the confluence of the three holy rivers - Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati. It is a popular pilgrimage site and is believed to be a place where taking a dip in the holy water can cleanse one's sins. In the morning, take a boat ride to the Sangam and witness the beautiful sunrise over the river. In the afternoon, take a dip in the holy water and participate in the Ganga Aarti, a Hindu ritual of offering prayers to the river. In the evening, enjoy a picnic by the riverbank and watch the Ganga Aarti.

Recommendations

If you have time, you can also visit Anand Bhawan, the ancestral home of the Nehru-Gandhi family and now a museum. The Allahabad Fort, built during the reign of Emperor Akbar, is also a popular attraction. For a side trip, you can visit the nearby city of Varanasi, a spiritual hub and home to several ancient temples.
