5-Day Itinerary for Manali, Shimla, Delhi in November 2023

  1. Day 1: Manali
    From Kullu-Manali Airport to Manali (49 minutes, 31.5 km)

    In the morning, visit the Hidimba Devi Temple, a 16th-century wooden temple dedicated to the goddess Hidimba. In the afternoon, explore the Manali Bazaar and do some shopping for local handicrafts. In the evening, take a relaxing walk along the Manalsu River and enjoy the scenic views of the surrounding mountains.

  2. Day 2: Manali to Shimla
    From Manali to Shimla (4 hours, 248 km)

    In the morning, drive to Rohtang Pass and enjoy the stunning views of the Himalayan Mountains. In the afternoon, visit the Naggar Castle and the Roerich Art Gallery to witness the beautiful artwork. In the evening, take a walk along Ridge Road and explore the local shops and cafes.

  3. Day 3: Shimla
    Located in the city center

    In the morning, visit the Vice Regal Lodge, also known as Rashtrapati Niwas, which was once the residence of British Viceroy of India. In the afternoon, take a stroll through the lush greenery of the Himalayan Bird Park and visit the Christ Church, a heritage site famous for its stained glass windows. In the evening, take a walk around the Mall Road and enjoy the local delicacies at the nearby restaurants.

  4. Day 4: Shimla to Delhi
    From Shimla to Delhi (6 hours, 342 km)

    In the morning, visit the Jakhu Temple, a famous temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, and enjoy the panoramic view of Shimla city from the temple. In the afternoon, explore the Shimla State Museum and learn about the rich cultural heritage of Himachal Pradesh. In the evening, take a flight to Delhi and check into your hotel.

  5. Day 5: Delhi
    Located in the city center

    In the morning, visit the iconic Red Fort, a famous historical monument built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in 1638. In the afternoon, explore the Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India, and enjoy the street food at Chandni Chowk market. In the evening, visit the Qutub Minar, another famous monument built by the first Muslim ruler of Delhi, and witness the beautiful light and sound show.

You should consider visiting the famous Taj Mahal in Agra or the beautiful Golden Temple in Amritsar. For a side trip, you can take a day trip to the hill station of McLeod Ganj to witness the beautiful Tibetan culture.
