Honeymoon Itinerary for Manali, Shimla, Delhi in November 2023

  1. Day 1: Manali
    From Kullu–Manali Airport, Manali (50 minutes, 31.7 km)

    Morning: Visit the Hidimba Devi Temple, an ancient cave temple surrounded by cedar forest. Afternoon: Explore the Manali Market for some local handicrafts and souvenirs. Evening: Take a romantic stroll at the Manali Nature Park.

  2. Day 2: Shimla
    From Manali to Shimla (7 hours, 247 km)

    Morning: Visit the Viceregal Lodge, a magnificent building with beautiful gardens and breathtaking views. Afternoon: Shop at Mall Road which has a variety of shops, restaurants and cafes. Evening: Take a scenic walk and enjoy the sunset at The Ridge, Shimla's most popular attraction.

  3. Day 3: Shimla
    Within Shimla

    Morning: Visit the Jakhoo Temple, an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. Afternoon: Explore the State Museum, which houses a collection of artefacts, paintings, sculptures and handicrafts. Evening: Take a romantic walk at the Chadwick Falls, which is surrounded by lush greenery.

  4. Day 4: Delhi
    From Shimla to Delhi (7 hours, 346 km)

    Morning: Visit the iconic India Gate, a war memorial and one of the most famous landmarks in Delhi. Afternoon: Explore the Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the President of India. Evening: Take a stroll at the Lotus Temple, a unique and beautiful temple made of white marble.

  5. Day 5: Delhi
    Within Delhi

    Morning: Visit the Red Fort, a stunning example of Mughal architecture and an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afternoon: Explore the Qutub Minar, a 73-metre-tall minaret and another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Evening: Take a rickshaw ride at Chandni Chowk, one of the oldest and busiest markets in Old Delhi.

Recommendations

You can also consider visiting the Shimla Heritage Museum, the Kufri Fun World, and the Delhi National Zoological Park. Side trips to Agra to see the Taj Mahal and Jaipur to see the Hawa Mahal can also be considered. To maximize fun, try some local street food in Delhi such as chaat, parathas and kebabs.
