Begin your trip on a relaxing note with a visit to the charming seaside town of Positano. Stroll through its narrow streets and enjoy the stunning views of colorful buildings cascading down the cliffs into the sea. Walk along the Spiaggia Grande beach, dine at one of the restaurants serving up fresh seafood, and sip a cocktail as the sun sets over the Amalfi Coast.
Spend your second day in Ravello, a town perched on a hilltop overlooking the sea. Visit the beautiful gardens of Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo. Admire panoramic vistas of the coastline and take a moment to relax in the serene gardens. End the day with dinner at one of the town's quaint restaurants, such as Trattoria da Cumpa' Cosimo.
On your final day in Amalfi Coast, explore the town of Amalfi. Stroll along the harbor and visit the 9th-century Amalfi Cathedral. Take a dip in the sea at the Spiaggia del Duoglio beach, and stop for a delicious gelato at Pasticceria Andrea Pansa. End your trip with dinner at the Michelin-starred La Sponda restaurant at Hotel Le Sirenuse.
Total Estimated Costs: €15-€20
While the best way to explore the Amalfi Coast is by car, hiring a driver is highly recommended. The winding cliffside roads are not for the faint of heart and parking can be difficult. Expect to pay around €300 for 3 days with a driver. Alternatively, public buses are available but can be unreliable and crowded.
If you have an extra day, consider visiting the island of Capri or taking a boat tour of the Amalfi Coast. If you're short on time, skip Ravello and spend more time in Positano and Amalfi.
The nearest airport to Amalfi Coast is Naples International Airport (NAP), located about 60 km away. Other nearby airports include Rome Ciampino Airport (CIA) and Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO), both located about 280 km away.
