Recommendations

If you have time, you can also visit the Mehtab Bagh, a garden complex located opposite the Taj Mahal that offers a beautiful view of the monument during sunset. You can also consider a side trip to Fatehpur Sikri, a ghost town and UNESCO World Heritage Site located 40 km from Agra.

To maximize your fun, start early in the morning, wear comfortable shoes and clothes, and carry a water bottle and sunscreen. Avoid visiting during weekends or holidays to avoid crowds and long queues.

Other suggestions include hiring a local guide to get a better understanding of the history and culture of the places you visit and trying local sweets like petha and dalmoth.
