Shoestring Budget 4-Day Itinerary for Rishikesh Haridwar in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Visit Lakshman Jhula
    30 minutes (7.7 km) from Haridwar Junction Railway Station

    In the morning, visit the iconic Lakshman Jhula, an iron suspension bridge 450 feet long and 70 feet high, that crosses the Ganges River. You can take a stroll on the bridge and admire the beautiful view of the river. For lunch, try some local street food like aloo poori or chole bhature in nearby restaurants. In the afternoon, visit the Beatles Ashram, also known as the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram, where the Beatles stayed in 1968.   2. Day 2: Explore Har Ki Pauri
    30 minutes (7.9 km) from Lakshman Jhula

    Start your day with a visit to Har Ki Pauri, a famous ghat on the banks of the Ganges River. Take a holy dip in the river and attend the Ganga Aarti ceremony in the morning. Afterward, visit the Mansa Devi Temple, located on top of a hill in Haridwar, which can be reached by a ropeway or by trekking.   3. Day 3: Visit Rajaji National Park

    Spend the day exploring the Rajaji National Park, home to various flora, fauna and wildlife like tigers, leopards, elephants, and more. Take a jeep safari through the park and spot some animals in their natural habitat. For lunch, pack some food and drinks and enjoy a picnic in the park. In the evening, return to your hotel and relax.

  4. Day 4: Visit Neer Garh Waterfall
    1 hour (13 km) from Rishikesh Railway Station

    Start your day with a visit to the Neer Garh Waterfall, a popular tourist spot located in Rishikesh. You can trek to the waterfall and enjoy the scenic views of the hills and valleys. For lunch, try some local delicacies in nearby restaurants. In the afternoon, visit the Triveni Ghat, where three holy rivers, Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati, are said to converge. Attend the Ganga Aarti ceremony in the evening at Triveni Ghat to complete your trip.
