3-Day Family-Friendly Itinerary for Puri in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Jagannath Temple
    10 minutes (1.2 miles) from Puri Beach

    In the morning, visit the famous Jagannath Temple dedicated to Lord Jagannath, a major pilgrimage site. Take part in the morning aarti ritual and marvel at the intricate architecture. In the evening, attend the Sand Art Festival at the beach to see some beautiful sand sculptures.

  2. Day 2: Chilika Lake
    1 hour 20 minutes (40 miles) from Puri Beach

    Take a day trip to Chilika Lake, the largest lagoon in India and a famous bird watching spot. Take a boat ride to spot dolphins and migratory birds. For lunch, try fresh seafood at one of the many local restaurants. Return to Puri in the evening and visit the Raghurajpur Artist Village to see local artisans at work and purchase some souvenirs.

  3. Day 3: Konark Sun Temple
    40 minutes (20 miles) from Puri Beach

    Visit the Konark Sun Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, early in the morning to beat the crowds. Marvel at the stunning temple architecture and intricate carvings. Head to Ramchandi Beach for lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing and enjoying the beach. In the evening, watch the beautiful sunset at Chandrabhaga Beach.
