Transportation

Most places are relatively near to each other, so it is best to walk or use a ride-sharing service such as Grab. Taxis are also readily available, but make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand. Estimated travel costs range from $5-10 depending on the destination and traffic conditions.

If you have more time, you can spend a whole day in Melaka to explore more attractions and museums such as Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum, Maritime Museum, and Museum of History and Ethnography.

If you have less time, we recommend skipping one of the activities or combining two activities together such as Jonker Street and Menara Taming Sari to allow for more rest and leisure time.

Airports

Melaka International Airport (MKZ) is the airport that serves Melaka, located about 10 miles from the city center. It has limited direct flights from Kuala Lumpur and Penang. The best option is to fly to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) or Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) and take a bus or taxi to Melaka.
